We live in a world where the most innocent, pure parts of ourselves are taken advantage of by bad/hurt people. Sometimes our naiveties would cause us to fall into traps and snares that would scar us later in life; creating burdens that we didn’t know how to shake off and forgive ourselves for because we simply just didn’t know any better. But, sometimes, we are tried by fire to strengthen us for the journeys that are ahead. In the moment, or even for many years after the damage has been done, we may harbor thoughts and feelings of guilt, shame, and resent for the pains that we suffered because of our innocent ignorance, but that is because we can’t see the bigger picture of our lives just yet.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.” - Romans 8:28
